Inspired by the work of Hospices for children dealing with grief issues and experiences, I have begun a new storytelling initiative called “Stories with Spirit.” SwS will bring live and recorded storytelling performances to hospitals, hospices and homes of ill children. Last week, I finished the first CD for SwS. It was amazing, grueling, fun and I think the final product is quite charming. I’ll be debuting the CD at the National festival and it will be available for sale on my site. Stories with Spirit is also working in collaboration with Mira’s Movement, a pediatric cancer advocacy organization. www.mirasmovement.com

Thanks for writing. Stories with Spirit is moving onward. We finished making our CD, The Belly Button Tour, which you can listen to and purchase from http://www.mirasmovement.org. It’s great! I am also going to be in Jonesborough for the festival and again there as teller in residence October 13th, when I hope to do a workshop for tellers interested in telling to ill children.
